With so many options to choose from when it comes to dressing windows, it's fun to be able to get the privacy and light control needed while doing something a little different and unexpected.In this dressing/closet area, the sheer hobbled Roman shade allows light to come in while giving enough privacy for the homeowners.  Keep in mind that the sheer fabric allows you to see the folds and cords behind, which can be covered with the same fabric as they were here.  It adds another element, but if they're made well, the look is very interesting.  We topped it with a tailored valance in a textured weave, and put velvety soft fabric in a similar tone on the seat cushion.  The result is a warm, inviting look that is just sublime.   Dressing RoomDr. Rm. 2In this bathroom, the client wanted something a bit more feminine.  We decided on a simple scarf on crystal holdbacks, and using the same sheer fabric, a functioning Austrian shade.  This can be raised if no one is around to allow the view and gardens to be seen.  It's pretty either way, and allows options, while never feeling too heavy.Screen Shot 2017-09-27 at 2.44.56 PMScreen Shot 2017-09-27 at 2.45.22 PM
